Booking Terms

  • One passenger in each group must be English speaking.
  • Guests need to be in good health.
  • Guests with issues with back, neck, or joints including heart problems, osteoporosis, recent injuries, obesity & pregnancy’s are not allowed on tour.
  • If handicapped you must disclose at time of booking as well a please contact your doctor first.
  • Adventure Tour! Expect bumpy and exciting boat ride.
  • We will get you as close as legally possible to the lava depending on conditions.
  • Guests must be 4-75 years old.
  • Guests must be able to climb a 10 ft ladder.
  • Guest must be under 250lbs.

All passengers need to check in on time. Late passengers or no shows will be charged full tour amount with $100 rebooking fee. We have limited seating & do not over book our tours.

Volcano Kilauea Status Update (where the lava meets the sea)

Episode 61g lava flow continues entering the ocean at Kamokuna where a small lava delta has been growing since late March proceeding the January 1, 2017 26 acre bench collapse & the 3 month long lava firehose event . Puʻu ʻŌʻō surface flow activity continues above the Pulima pali (mountainside) in route to the sea  The lava lake surface  of Halemaʻumaʻu Craterremains very active in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  Kīlauea Volcano continues to erupt in 2 places at the summit and the Puʻu ʻŌʻō vent on its East Rift Zone.

Restrictions

With over 3 decades of of experiencing the ocean entry via boat we have the knowledge & experience to provide you the safest up close lava viewing possible on a lava boat tour. While the US Geological Study and US Coast Guard have recently began implementing new regulations based on land based lava studies.  To date there has never been a incident or injury on a lava boat at the ocean entry.   At the current moment no permanent regulations or rules have been solidified however the USCG issued a Marine Safety Information Bulletin 17-002 on March 28, 2017 which were were granted permission to enter the Lava Zone on March 31, 2017.

Please take a minute share your voice lava boat tours should not be regulated without proper studies conducted from the sea not the land.  You may submit comments identified by docket number USCG-2017-0234 using the Federal eRulemaking Portal at http://www.regulations.gov.

 

Our trips are based 100% on nature and natural occurring events. We do not control the lava, unfortunately! Lava Conditions are ever-changing we see eruption activity from Kilauea Volcano on this volcano tour! This is an open ocean adventure tour.

Everyone wants to be safe. Consider the following before booking.  This tour is a high speed open ocean tour along East Hawaii’s southeast coastline. The tour is a physically demanding tour in rough open ocean waters not a like a lake boat ride. Company reserves the right to cancel any passenger at time of tour if captain feels a guest is unfit for tour.
